About Us

The Hayseed Group

Founded in 2003 by Jay Chadwick, David Burgess, and Tracy Keeney, The Hayseed Group is rooted in the Endless Mountains of Northeastern Pennsylvania. As longtime landowners and community members, our mission is simple: grow the region responsibly by attracting the right partners and putting local land to work.

We’ve spent more than two decades transforming raw land into opportunity — through shovel-ready sites, utility infrastructure, tenant coordination, and hands-on involvement in every stage of development. Our work spans commercial plazas, historic renovations, and strategic land sales supporting gas drilling and local businesses.

With direct control of key properties like the West Wyalusing development site and Farm & Home Plaza, we move quickly, without layers of brokers or red tape. We’ve helped bring in anchor tenants, independent shops, healthcare providers, and national brands. Our team also supports new infrastructure efforts tied to the Marcellus Shale boom and regional economic growth.

We believe the Endless Mountains are not just beautiful — they’re ready. And we’re here to help build what’s next.

Wyalusing FAQs

Where is Wyalusing, PA?

What makes the Endless Mountains region attractive for business?

The Endless Mountains offer a blend of natural beauty and practical infrastructure—affordable land, Route 6 visibility, broadband internet, and a supportive local economy. The area is ideal for both lifestyle and commercial development.

Today, it remains a powerful reminder of the region’s deep historical roots.

How has natural gas drilling shaped the area?

Marcellus Shale development has brought jobs, modern infrastructure, and new business opportunities. Many landowners, including The Hayseed Group, have leveraged this growth to invest back into the community through commercial projects.
